Has got to one of the best movies of the year. Saoirse Ronan acted the part perfectly and Blanchet and Bana gave stellar perfomances as well. The tevhno style soundtrack really makes the unique action scenes come alive in new ways. With several plot twists it makes for quite an awesome movie.

This is a superior movie, with a rivetingmixture of action justaposed with the ethical and personal issues of human expermmentation. The pace is slow, not boring. most of the plost is in the psychological awakening of Hanna. Cinematography is excellent, and Saoirse Ronan (Hanna) is the camera's friend. Acting by the entire cast is excellent. A superior film for film-goers that like to think as well as see action.

Savvy and smart action movie where a young lady is discovering herself and putting her skills to the test. A tad slow in parts, but worth the sit through. All actors were solid and Cate Blanchett's character is cold as ice. Intense soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers also. This movie does not overwhelm you with action, and sometimes that's a good thing.

This is a fantastic legal drama that is well directed, well written, and very thrilling. Finally Chris Evans has done something not just worth seeing, but good. Excluding Captin America. No need to describe plot as other reviews have done a descent job, but why only 2 stars? His critique is filled with positive statements. Only at the end he warns about a topless scene, profanity, and drug use. Is that why only two stars? Also he mentions its depressing. So because it's r rated and depressing only 2 stars? Another reviewer simply states good, but only gave 2 and a half stars. Come on guys this is not The Godfather, but it's a good film. Mainly because of Evans, but it is good. It's perfectly fine to give a film 2 stars, but give us your feelings to read.

saw this at the river oaks theater here in houston the other night. small film shot here in town about a real life law team that went after a big medical supply conglomerate and forced the use of safety needles in hospitals. (apparently) 800K accidental punctures of front-line hospital care-givers happen every year but safety needles would prevent all of that. what's interesting is that one of the lawyers who is doing the sueing is a drug addict himself! focuses on greed and corruption of the medical kingdom and the lawyers they hire to protect them. also states that the spread of HIV in Africa is due mostly to dirty needles being used and re-used. not sure if numbers quoted are accurate but it is a compelling story and a bit depressing. Warning: topless scene, drugs, profanity.

After reading reviews and commentary across the internet, my wife and I almost decided to wait for DVD. However, we decided to take a chance anyway. We were pleasantly surprised by the film. The storyline was good, with a couple slight twists to it. The movie was by no means at the level of LOTR, Avatar, or Underworld, but it was enjoyable to watch on the big screen.

I was rather discouraged by some of the reviews on this movie. I had hopes though and they definitely led me into the right theatre. Nicolas Cage isn't particularly my favorite actor or by any means the person I would cast for this film but it really wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. I saw this one in Arclight meaning I paid more to see it and frankly, I liked it a HELL of a lot more than I even like the latest Harry Potter (wasn't that a damn joke). If you're not into "godly" movies this one probably isn't going to be your cup of tea. I certainly am not into those types of movies but I love anything that looks even remotely scary, ie, the witch. As for the movie itself it had a decent plot. Somewhat typical and rather predictable but nothing horrific. Basically the movie is as described in the summary. And as Todd has written below, not to undermine him by any means, she is NOT the devil but instead a demon. All in all I was happy walking away from this movie. :]

It's not that this is a bad movie; it's well put together and directed. But Everything Must Go so depressing it makes you feel miserable watching it. Not entertaining, unless you like watching people at their lowest for two hours.

Don't bother. I watch movies for a respite from what this movie depicts. I want to be entertained (or even educated) by a movie, not dropped into the depths of sorrow & depression. I kept hoping that something good would come about (it doesn't) The movie ending is just as depressing as the rest of the movie (which is to say 'very') There are a couple of (all too) brief moments that are interesting and even entertaining, but they're not enough to sit through this one. Thumbs down, even if you like Will Ferrell.

Life comes crashing down and in this case, it comes down hard. Will Ferrell does a great job portraying a character who needs to change but it's not a simple matter. Considering what things are like for many people right now it rings a scary truth.

Saw this last night. If you're a germ phobic person, well guess what. You'll get a lot worse. The casting is right on, the story is a progression into fear and chaos that not even the best Zombie films truly capture. This movie makes you very nervous and gets your protective instincts really hyped up. You will feel for these people and actors, and even if you don't like them, you'll feel for them. It is an experimentation on fear and possible exact measures mankind could fall into. How the internet as a tool can go so wrong. Jude Law really shines here and I am not a huge fan of his. The All Star cast get their egos out of the way to tell this tale and it is a film you have to see at least once. There are no happy endings here, but you don't leave the film feeling depressed, but entertained and you will talk paranoya. It has some dull moments, but overall, probably one of the best virus movies ever done. The Virus is the true star of this flim. I highly recommend it.

This movie lacked any dramatic climax. I was expecting a more updated version of the movie Outbreak, but it didnt live up to that level. It was good at showing the possibilities of widespread panic and lawlessness, but the movie just sort of ended leaving you feeling unfulfilled.

It's just an "okay" movie with nothing outstanding or revealing about it. In fact, the tragedy of this movie is that it failed to portray the wider scope of calamity for those not infected ... especially the danger of being with so many other people, say, in a movie theater (pun intended), no electricity, water plants shutting down, and so many other everyday expectations that would no longer be met . Worth seeing on DVD but not worthy of paying to see it at a movie theater.

Spy Kids: All the Time in the World

Blockbuster  Activate your BLOCKBUSTER On Demand deviceSpy Kids: All the Time in the World (2011)A retired spy-turned-full-time homemaker attempts to stop a power-mad supervillain from taking over the planet, and gets some unexpected help from her disagreeable twin step-children in this fourth entry of writer/director Robert Rodriguez's family-friendly adventure series. It's been a long time since former OSS agent Marissa Cortez Wilson (Jessica Alba) went chasing bad guys. These days it's hard enough just to get her precocious stepkids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook), to clean their rooms, and make sure her baby daughter has a full sippy cup. And despite the fact that Marissa's husband, Wilbur (Joel McHale), earns his income chasing spies on TV, he hasn't a clue that his mild-mannered wife was once a cloak-and-dagger woman. Now the nefarious Timekeeper (Jeremy Piven) has hatched a plot for world domination, prompting the OSS to summon Marissa back to active duty. When Rebecca and Cecil discover their stepmother's tightly guarded secret, they realize they might be the only hope for getting her out of a tight jam and foiling the Timekeeper's evil plan. Fortunately Carmen (Alexa Vega) and Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) are more than willing to teach Rebecca and Cecil the tricks of the trade, and in no time the two bickering ten-year-olds are wielding hi-tech gadgets and heading out on their first assignment. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi Read More
